Assignment:

CTE’s Internship Program has reached its 10th year in existence. Over 3,187 students interned in the 2024 Summer Youth Internship Program at hundreds of career areas at 974 worksites this year. To mark this occasion, the members wanted to produce a logo that would be used throughout the year commemorating this success. Using elements from the previous SYIP logo (whichBTW, was also designed by ACC), they wanted a symbol that would work for all their existing materials and those they may arise during this year.

Task:

Design a logo marking 10 successful years of providing summer internships.

Solution:

We had several ideas, but ultimately we wanted the number 10 to be the prominent graphic. The trick was to incorporate the existing logo’s elements into the 10th graphic without veering off topic of the well established brand. After narrowing the choices down to 3 concepts, the client decided to go with our 3rd option. It was the number ten created from several swirling lines. The lines symbolized internship paths that lead to eventual employment and success. The client wanted silver hightlights which is a 10-year staple. Below are the results.
The graphic was poted to multiple promotional pieces to make the accomplishment visible and celebratory.
The current advertising campaign was rebooted with 10-year logos and taglines to continue the program’s mission.
